Gigante Coffee, the best beans in town

Business & Ethics

Gigante Coffee is run by business partners Paul Caligiore and Carl Clinton who take pride in a long history in the coffee industry.

The Caligiore family originally established the business as Samba Coffee in September 1981. In 1987 the name was changed to San Remo Coffee, and Carl Clinton became a director in 1988. In April 2001 the name was again changed to Gigante Coffee. The change in name, style and image is in keeping with a positive new direction.

fairtrade.jpg The business charter is to promote coffee as an integral part of a happy, healthy lifestyle. The business slogan is: Gigante Coffee - The Best Beans in Town. In this pursuit we strive to source the highest quality coffee beans to create our principal espresso blends, Mokacino, Black Silk and Gigante Blend. All blends are 100% arabica and all include an East Timorese organic varietal. The premium price we pay for East Timorese Organic ensures that farmers are paid a fair price for their commodity.

We aim to be fair in all our business dealings and to operate in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
