Gigante Coffee is run by business partners Paul Caligiore and Carl Clinton who take pride in a long history in the coffee industry.

The Caligiore family originally established the business as Samba Coffee in September 1981. In 1987 the name was changed to San Remo Coffee, and Carl Clinton became a director in 1988. In April 2001 the name was again changed to Gigante Coffee. The change in name, style and image is in keeping with a positive new direction.

The business charter is to promote coffee as an integral part of a happy, healthy lifestyle. We aim to be fair in all our business dealings and to operate in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. Gigante Coffee is a founding member of the FairTrade Association of Australia and New Zealand and has played an instrumental role in introducing Fairtrade coffee into the Australian market.
